The ObCig Award "Empresas Integradoras" was created in 2019 to distinguish enterprises that play an important role in the labor integration of Roma people. This distinction is adressed to business organizations that employ five or more Roma people with a signed contract. It aims to inspire employers to intervene in the implementation and development of business policies and practices that promote cultural diversity, combating discrimination based on ethnic origin and the integration of Roma people living in Portugal.

The ObCig Award "Pessoa de Mérito" was created in 2020 with the aim to recognize people who have been developing mostly voluntary work for the integration of Roma people, for the past 10 years or more. It is intended to distinguish people whose philosophy of life, principles, values and practices, are guided by participation, involvement and active critical, emancipatory and humanistic citizenship, promoting. Through volunteering, cultural diversity is promoted, as well as the fight against discrimination based on ethnic origin and the integration of Roma people living in Portugal.

3rd edition of the ObCig Award "Pessoa de Mérito"

Awarding of the ObCig Award "Pessoa de Mérito" to Bruno Gonçalves, on December 14, 2022, at the International Seminar "Public Policies, Scientific Knowledge and Roma Civic Participation", organized by ObCig, in a face-to-face format. Applications took place from April 8 to July 1, 2022, in accordance with the Regulation.
